Somehow, each and every one of Erin Phillips' books are better than the last! I'm excited to see where Caly's arc takes her.
Each little morsel of this slow burn needs to be savored because it is a true slow burn, and knowing where these characters are at, it's necessary!

I can’t in good conscious give this book for because I was personally just so frustrated with it for a good chunk of time and I feel like I wasted my time reading like the last two hours or so. She was annoying and I cannot get past her character. So cussing annoying I wanted to swear so three stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

She literally blamed Hunter for spell that went wrong when she’s the one who was rash and made a last-minute decision to use a spell when she was angry and then didn’t lock the door and Hunter walks in and literally she blames him and now she wants to go back to her original plan of going it alone. Utterly stupid I’m so close to DNF.

Like I want to throw her into the ocean and burn my Kindle because she is acting stupid blaming everyone else she can’t take any ounce of responsibility. And every five seconds she’s pulling a green arrow and saying I’m going to work alone. I don’t need people. It’s so frustrating.

I forgot to update that. I started this book and they’ve been stuck on a boat. The girl is obnoxious now. I am being driven mad by her currently. Throughout this entire book, she’s been filled with insecurity. She’s been acting rash and irresponsibly and she’s nothing like the mature person. I thought we would get considering three years of past.
