The clouds overhead are getting angry, and I hear thunder off in the distance.
"Storm's coming through. We should go inside."
"I can smell it. Wow, it happened fast."
"They usually do around here. Come on."

You wouldn't have to put your face next to it. Have a third party handle sales and exhibitions. Maybe the mystery would make it sell for a higher price.

I don't like to complain. I'm as privileged as it gets ... I don't even have to list all the reasons. They're glaringly obvious.
It's okay to have opinions.
Sure. And I have some. But it would be intensely ungrateful of me to b!tch about any part of my life.

Art is the one thing that wasn't ruined for me by my mother's presidency. ... I didn't want to share this piece of me with anyone.

You and Chelsea actually agree on something. Hell must be chilly today.

I always make a mess when I work. It's part of the fun. Luckily, all this washes out of clothes easily.

I had the nipples done. And you know what? I like them.
I thought I'd end up taking them out, but once they healed, which took a long-@$$ time, I liked them. I don't love the way I got them, but I'm definitely keeping them.

he... opens a drawer in the kitchen that's obviously a junk drawer. Every home in America has one of these.
Except the White House. But that's not a normal home.

You hate summer? You jog every day.
That's different. When I jog, I'm sweating because I was productive. In the summer, it's just sweat. I don't like it.

Never point the barrel of a weapon at a person, unless you plan to shoot them. So if you're holding it, keep it pointed at the floor.
Okay. Point it at the floor or kill someone. Got it.

When I'm frustrated, I either sketch or play the piano or clean. And I'm a whole lot of frustrated right now. But all I can do is clean.

You can order whatever you want from my computer at home. We may be in the boonies, but we do get deliveries.

I shake my head and lean back in the seat, resigned to the fact that no one will tell me what's really going on. It's always the same. This is what it is to be the daughter of the most powerful woman in the world. I do what I'm told, and I'm not told much. It's infuriating.

The press only knows what those in charge want them to know. Politics is like the Mafia on steroids.

When I was a teenager, I rebelled against the security. Chelsea would talk me into ditching them all the time, which we’d do, … When the incident happened five years ago, I put my foot down and told Chelsea we’d never do it again. Because people got hurt that day, all because of me.
