This book is doing a crazy job of keeping me RIGHT on the line between kinda interested and actually invested. Just nonstop: “huh, ok, that’s kinda neat, I guess I’d like to see where that’s going” but not actually locking in.

Does the imbuing and fever make this more dystopian with a science fiction subplot?

Really loving the concept of this so far - it's a strange world, but the characters are great!

All I have to say is that Veronica Roth's writing prowess is just aging like a fine wine. I'm about 10 chapters in so far and this is such a dessert book. Savory and rich!
