Just made it to chapter 17.
This series has an extremely complex world.
The intrigue is absolutely astounding.
My feeble mind often has trouble comprehending all the nuances.
It seeps into my little brain and takes over keeping me captive EVEN when I'm trying to sleep.

I feel obligated to dish out my feelings for this book and this series because it lacks some much needed discussion. On that note, I really, really love how oddly steamy this series yet is still a goddamn seriously well-written and well plotted book/series. Some erotica out there attempt to have a plot but always fall short yet this one has the sexiness in spades and the intrigues rolling.

It’s quite interesting how the author provides us scenes between Lady Estella and Lucius. It is as if she is subtly pointing out that any interaction we’ve noted about Lucius in regards to Lilian is not one of affection—every punishment and reward borders only on the idea that Lilian is property—oof, my romantic heart bleeds.

I'm not sure exactly where I am since I'm reading from the 2-book bundle, hehe. But ARGH, Ms. Manetti is still so hecking good with world building in this series. Particularly the religions and sects of the Twelve Systems. Super intricate and interesting to read about.
