I’m happy that Agnes is noticeably very different than Emily, and that the writing style has adapted to the new Era. Agnes is kind and thinks well of most people but is so down on her luck that she feels like she’s drowning. I also love the mystery of the incident with the magician in her neighborhood. I’m happy that I don’t know right off the bat what happened.
