“Does she have narcolepsy?” -Me, out loud in my empty bedroom before 6:00 AM because this FMC just napped in the car on the way to this guy’s rental, took a short dip in the pool, and then immediately fell asleep on the couch.

I’m absolutely loving the FMC—her rage, her brattiness, all of it. She’s fierce, unapologetic, and so much fun to read. The banter between the two leads is delicious and easily one of my favorite parts of the story.

While I’m not necessarily enjoying this, I am interested enough to keep reading.
I just have two beefs:
1-the author really needs to look at a fucking map or clarify what they meant by Portland being close to the border. Because neither Portland (Maine or Oregon) is near enough to the Canadian border to warrant that comment about being close to the Canadian border.
2-Ava is so fucking irritating.
