I want to reverse time and have my brother back here so I can pretend I’m as brave as I act and show these men I don’t need them, when I really, really do.

I smirk and drag my sweatshirt up enough to show him that I’m not wearing a bra. “Just so you know, I’m going to make it hard for you to go slow with me.”
His lips tilt up. “Good. Make me regret it, Hayley."

This is what I’ve been missing—this feeling of complete freedom with someone who elevates my energy. Someone I can be playful with in the spotlight. I wish Zephryn were here. I wish he wanted to be in the spotlight with us.

Editing is coming along! This one is a beast, but geez, the feels that are coming out in edits are so fun!

Not only does Zephryn need to earn that from me for being besties with my brother, I think he likes the tease. He’s always been playful with me, but there’s something more between since I came back. I’m starting to think it’s because I won’t tell him why I’m here. If I’m right, that’s fun information to play with.
