Really dislike the random switches to second person.

Man, this writing is so bad. The dialogue is so unnatural and awkward and it’s like Luci is constantly narrating her internal monologue like she’s reading off a grocery list. The characters try too hard to be funny so it comes off ridiculous.

Wow, okay. This book is really bad so far. I don't think it'll get any better because the writing is just so bad. It's constant word vomit, info-dump with writing that feels stiff and middle-grade. The FMC is unlikeable. There are run on sentences galore, dialogue that doesn't flow... I'm going to try pushing through.

So far, there's a lot going on with an info-dump pretty much right away with quite a bit of run on sentences. Some are within context (the FMC being very enthusiastic) while others are narrative in nature.
