I'm giving up. This book is blatantly trying to channel Taylor Swift, but add some "mysterious disappearance" to be a plot. I have no interest in reading further.

I think I’m going to have to DNF this. MC is so clearly Taylor Swift, without any irony or self awareness on the part of the author. Reads like fan fiction written by a 12 year old, and I don’t have the time for that!
