Just got my hands on an ARC of the ebook, and the opening paragraph alone demonstrates Tom Lin's skill as an author. What he includes reveals so much about the main characters Hsiu Keng and Lee Mei and opens up a chestful of questions about their past and why they've left their homeland. Damn, this man is good!
