Status Updates From Портрет однієї леді

I don't know how, but this book strikes a chord with me. How exactly the character Isabel exists is essential to my feelings that resonate with how she explains who she actually is. Sorry, I'm actually feeling like someone can explain what I'm going through and it eases the stress of my worser feelings.

I’ve finally broken the halfway point of this thing and came across a line that made me laugh. Isabel is in conversation about her husband that tells me all I need to know about their relationship at this point:

“He must be very clever.”
“He has a genius for upholstery,” said Isabel.
