this is probably my most anticipated read of the year 🥹

I love Katherine Arden's writing, so far I am enjoying this a lot.

Absolutely loving this book so far.

“Go to bed, for God’s sake, Anne, unless you mean the French to take fright and run from your haggard face.”

Something hilarious happened. I started the book and like, a couple of chapters in, googled "katherine arden + dorothy dunnett" and Yes, she is a fan, and yes, it shows in this book.

Historical fiction is not my favorite but Katherine arden has grabbed my attention from her previous trilogy. This one has just enough to keep me invested with the supernatural side.
