Status Updates From This Monster of Mine

Sarai keeps calling Kadra a monster and sadistic. Calling someone that doesn't make him one, neither has all he has done so far entitles him to that label. He has not revelled in pain and/or torture, neither has he killed for the pleasure of it or targeted innocents. He definitely has not bathed in the blood of hapless victims either. Ruthless maybe. But monster and sadistic, definitely not.

It may be the chance of a lifetime, barmaid.
But it isn’t worth your life.

Finally. Some semblance of common sense from our friend Sarai. Yes. Why throw you off and have you healed after.

As for why I don't think it's Kadra who is the one who had her thrown out the tower window - chapter 2's opening had liners "What have you done?! Her face is gone." To which the reply was "Get her another." If he was the owner of the beautiful voice and the owner of the beautiful voice was the one who pushed her out the window wanting her dead, why would he care about getting her another face when hers is gone.

So its Aelius that was with the man who threw Sarai out the window then? After all that person said "some northern girl that my aide valued enough to bring here." Cisuré had bowed her head to Aelius in greeting "like they are acquainted, but that's impossible. Cisuré would have mentioned something that momentous" (in Sarai's words) at the robing.

Wow, my dislike for Cisuré grows stronger by the page. She abandons her friend back at the village after the incident, and after 4 years says dismissive words such as "Do you know what it was like to see you in pieces" [excuse YOU, ehat do you mean how YOU felt???!!!! What about how Sarai felt?!] And "The gods give and take away" [REALLY????] And "You will always have me" [Right......]

Such a selfish, shallow person
