Status Updates From Tales of Winter and Whimsy:...

This is so funnnn

So I read this mainly for Morgan Gauthier's story on Finn and Eris. Yes it is not essentially a wintery story which some people may take an issue with but it is definitely a short and sweet backstory into Finn and Eris and their meeting is hinted at in A Song of shadow and starlight but not really expanded on.

Eris still remains a badass character and her past just seals that for me. I loved getting to know her more

Story #8 - In the Depths of a Dream is addicting!!! Branock and Evadine are so cute 😍 I love the Veridian Empire series from V.B Lacey, and this is the whole reason I read this anthology. Even as a standalone or just this mini story, you'll be obsessed.

Story #7 - The Sovereigns Bride
This was okay. It definitely was part of another book or existing story it just kind of was there. It skipped over what would have been the coolest part of the story - the storm.

I really enjoyed this story but it felt very unfinished and also not wintery. I think I just expected more cozy winter stories for all of these based on the title.

Story #5 - Fate of Frost
This one was okay. A Fate rejected her mate but the bond is still there and they have one night of being together and she may or may not break the rules to change their fate.

Loved Bannock and Evadine’s back story. Their banter was perfect and I can see where Leo and Rissa got their fire from.

After meeting Finn and Eris, I cannot wait to dive into more of Morgan’s work and see what these two, Nyx, and Atlas get up to.

Fate of Frost was my first introduction into the Harbingers, and this second chance romance had me dying for more Fate and Jack Frost.

Story #4 - Embers in the Snow was perfection. This 1000% should have been the intro story. It had stranger from new lands, a cozy cottage, smow, winter, danger, and love. I loved this story so much.

Story #3 - All the magic of Mistletoe was so cute! It was spicy and sweet at the same time and had a great scene that I could imagine in a bigger book.

Reif and Cyra are so perfect for each other. I already want more of them!!!

Story #2 - The Last Page of Us was super cute. I loved this story and definitely want more. Their love was so tender, and the mystery was fun. I want them to time hop together and have a longer book.
