Status Updates From Sea Shells

Take away man and his expectation, and everything comes out the same, sea shell or stone; but chance makes nothing in this world, apart from making us take notice of it...

Nothing at all is considered to neat completion--not the shapes of the shells, nor their various functions; there is no mention of classifications and little concerning the habits and needs of the mollusks' existence; there is nothing at all said about their usefulness (frightful but common word) to man.
