After the first two excellent stories, the rest have been exceedingly disappointing. :(

Loving this so far! The first story, Mr Dark’s Carnival by Glen Hirshberg was excellent! And I look forward to more of the Halloween recollections of some of the other authors.

First two stories were awesome and 100% what I'm looking for in my Halloween horror. Next two stories, decidedly not.

So I am actually on page 469 but I just realized that the page count is wrong. This book is actually a bit over 500 pages long. Anyway, I'm greatly enjoying the book at this point, both the essays and fiction! That's despite all the annoying typos. It's nice to have the magic back from the original, though I am sad this one hasn't ever gotten a second and way more affordably priced printing like the first did.

The last several stories included some good ones, including Ray Bradbury's epic "The October Game" which you can find in many collections, but I certainly appreciate having it in this one.
