The push and pull of the relationship between Hakeem and Sai is annoying me. I get that Hakeem needs her to be sure and she continues to flip flop, but when she says yes this guy backs off.

So far it has some funny parts, but it’s dragging. I get needing your pride and protecting your little sibling but this … I have no words. She knew what she was doing and she knew it was beyond dumb. I respect the fact she owned up to it and didn’t cower. I’m probably going to rate it a 3. I do hope the end blows me away and we make it to a 4

Ima have to pause this cause the writing is weird and it’s a cliffhanger.

See this is why I’m not a slow burn girl. We are more than halfway through the book and only one of them is all in. Am I going to have to wait until the end for her to come around 😩
