Status Updates From The Future: A User’s Guide

I love the premise of this book. It imparts important concepts and augurs ill for a future populated by doomscrollers and end-of-time televangelists. But who translated it into English from the original German? If the author herself then it seems unlikely she would render concepts harder to understand, yet the repetition of “This is because…” starting two consecutive sentences, as well as odd synonyms irks.
