i'm going crazy with the fact that tristan is constantly thinking "no but i don't want to get married" and then the next second he takes joan to see the house he's renovating because she needs to like how things are looking and choose the color for his bedroom wall I JUST CAN'T

Love how Caroline Linden didn't follow the whole miscommunication trope. Joan simply asks him about the rumor and he dispelled it as simple as that.

He got her the next issue of her favorite series. I love how he keeps sneaking them to her.

Yeah, I think Tristan did a good thing by kicking his aunt out. She was the WORST.

Tristan is bold! I wasn't expecting him to seriously hide the little book in her corset.

Slight pet peeve but miles are really only an American thing and these are aristocrats in 1822 London, England. Please use kilometres ☺️

I like how fascinated with a lamp that Tristan became, trying to find out how it worked. And all the while ignoring the one woman is trying to get his attention at the same time.

She gave her brother quite the wake-up call.
