Hard to believe that she did not put her jacket on before going to interview Miss V. She said she had on her belt her weapon and a Tayser in the jacket was to cover those.

I'm finding this quite an intelligent murder investigation and Alia a surpris'gly feisty heroine.

The space was lovely… it was all garden: vegetable, shade, Orchard and flowers. Standing on the patio, she identified tomatoes, cucumbers,... An entire rainbow of bell peppers.. What did an elderly woman want with such a large garden? (81 yrs)

@ Miss Viola's in the library: Alia.. Took a seat in a black leather chair. The sides curved around, almost like a cocoon, and the cushions had just the right amount of give. It was quite possibly the most comfortable chair she'd ever sat in, and as a bonus, it's swiveled and rocked, too.

Alia: she couldn't quite grasp the character flaw that made it so easy for a person to take another's life. She could read and talk and investigate, but she couldn't--woudn't--crawl inside a killers mind anymore than she had to. (I SO agree!!)

She's my mother's father's second cousin three times removed or something. In simpler words, family. In Louisiana, it didn't matter how many times removed; A cousin was a cousin.

wonderful romance, satisfying plot, really liked both the H and h, 4 1/2* ...
