What a delight of a book! Searles’ books tend to be dark and eerie but this one is like a burst of sunlight. I had the privilege of interviewing Helen Gurley Brown back in my journalism days and she was a force. This book, in fiction, plays with her rise to icon status, the team of fearless women she cultivated, and her vision for a new kind of feminism that celebrated women in all their forms. Such a fun ride!
