Status Updates From Maniac

This could just be the fact that I didn't immediately start reading the last part of the book after the last chapter of the second but, I almost forgot that most of the book mostly talked about von Neumann and the big part he played in laying out the foundations for this thing that we now call artificial intelligence, and now, the topic of AI is seemingly the only one that has stayed.

I just finished the von Neumann portion of the book and I have to say how good Labatut is in tailoring a narrative about the man through an entirely third-party perspective of the genius that would more or less be one of the most influential figures of science in general, even long after his death. Such a fascinating figure to read about, especially when done so in the way that Labatut did.
