The Other One and Lasiren felt overexplained—narrators were self aware in a way that felt too confessional? (Confessional isn’t inherently bad or unscary b these were characters who were largely reacting to horror so a bulk of the inside reflects wasn’t scary. Compare to cop story) The other one was the scarier of the two. Lasiren felt like an adult fairytale.
