Status Updates From Life and Fate

omg, this has taken me forever to get to this point. i feel like im still super close but once its done that will be a relief. it’s been dense, but very well written. i do like VG’s writing style and his characters are complex and multifaceted and interesting. he really is a magnificent writer it’s just this book is taking me forever….

I'm enjoying it so far, if enjoying is the right word for it. Given that War and Peace might be my all time favourite book, and this book is compared to it a lot, I can say that the comparisons are apt. I hope I can get to page 400 in the next few days.
