Man, the FMC is annoying, the MMC has some red flag moments, and the romance has all the chemistry of a failed elementary school volcano science project… but the mystery/crime aspect is keeping me going. Also the dog. Love the dog 😂

Not as into this one as the other Harlequins I’ve read, but the dog alone is enough to keep me hooked 😂

So this HR has FMC taking initiative to kiss the hero .. Just like another (HR) published this month.
Formulaic (of course) so huh.
2ndly, dysfunctional families “chaotic”, divorced SO is this likely to improve my reading ?
I think not.
Getting more soapy ? Or as Harlequin might say .. more real ?
