I am in love with Arakawa's art and storytelling.

I am in love with the evident cultural influences.

I am in love with the rich battle scenes, gory as they may be.

This series is so good so far, except that there are three bazillion men (named and background both) and only one named woman, who is so far a stereotype. Even 99.9% of the nameless background characters are men. It's not only sexist but also just plain weird to see depictions of a city so incrediblely lopsided.

Buuuut I'm really enjoying this a lot regardless
