I think there is a special place for scientists who write full treatises on potatoes. I don’t know if it’s in heaven or in hell.

I find it adorable that Darwin calls them humblebees

I didn’t mark the chapter for this note, but it is so nice to have many of the concepts of heredity, genetic disposition, and domestication so succinctly claimed and decisively explained. Notions of greater implications regarding the organization of common groups through a plethora of factors, including that of the presence of a common ancestor gives ample food for thought.
