Ahhh, I love Deb!! I connect most closely with her character. Her deep love for her husband, her children, son in law. From Leo “You aren’t very good at this whole divorce thing - you keep inviting me to everything.” 🥹

Leo and April seem so mismatched from their backstories. With all of the love they have for each other (and not for themselves), I’m really hoping they will TALK to each other!

The author has a way with words that is stunning. I’m trying my best to take my time and really feel the power of the words. About new motherhood: “He is stepping more into himself while I’m disintegrating, piece by piece, and I wonder if this is ultimately what a marriage most do - Don one of us so the other can shine.”
