Status Updates From Tortured Souls

I’ve been stuck in the middle of this book for awhile now and I think I’ve just lost interest. So doing what I sometimes do too late I looked into it more and realized it’s a whole universe and there are several books surrounding the world and its characters. I don’t know what it is but that made me immediately lose more interest. I don’t like long drawn out series or 10 different characters pov or stories.

The worldbuilding is dark, layered, and mysterious. We’ve got dragon shifters, dying fae, magical bargains, and an FMC with rare powers and a traumatic past. The tension between Kailia, King Cethin, and Razik is MESSY and every chapter leaves me with more questions. Definitely a lore heavy romantasy, but so addictive so far.

Interesting so far! Pulled me right in and there’s enough secrets and discourse to keep my attention
