Montgomery continued to criticize US strategy in the War negleting the fact that US support allowed England to face Hitler in the beginning and also ignoring the fact of the failure of his Market Garden operation that ended in the loss of thousands of allied troops in Holland. He was always a pain in the ass for Eisenhower.
