Status Updates From The Library of Second Chances

I like the concept but the writing has been a little juvenile. I want to feel more empathy towards Chloe, but she's coming off as too much of a pick-me girl. I also don't know if it's because I'm reading it on Kindle and the formatting is different, but the lack of structure when it comes to the text exchanges is doing my head in. There are no italics or quotation marks indicating that a text chain is happening ??
