Obviously, this is a series, so even if and when they complete all 10 Trials, because that’s looking highly likely…no way things are gonna go down smoothly lol. I see. Cosmo wasn’t necessarily gonna force Adrian to have heirs, just Dante. Well…that’s better…? For our girl Adrian at least. Dante is still having his reproductive decisions taken from him :/

Damn. Trial 5 was horrible.
I’m still curious why they gain a new ability each time?
In universe wise. I’m assuming, by the end, they’ll need all these heightened abilities for something big.

Like the buildup. The style reminds me of Suzanne Collins, w/ not wasting page time (some times things feel a little rushed, but it’s fine) & each Trial is getting more intense & demanding more from our MCs

Third Trial was def a lil more intense

This book legit reads like the hunger games. It’s different obviously but just the tone and pacing of everything

I’m not quite feeling the stakes within the Trials themselves yet (they’ve seemed kinda…easy? So far?) and I’m not entirely sure what the point of the Trials even is (bigger picture wise) BUT I am honestly enjoying this so far. The characters read very naturally and feel like normal real people instead OP caricatures

Glad I’m giving this one another shot. Enjoying it so far. Also Dante seems like an a hole BUT the kind who was merely raised privileged and has some waking up to do. (Istg if he turns into a basic possessive Romantasy mmc imma be mad. I’m enjoying their interactions so far)
