On Psalm 68: “When you lift up your power and strength on high, do not disdain, we pray, to turn your face toward us who are struggling with Satan and the flesh and its passions… release us, from the baggage of sins that greatly burden us. Reconcile us to yourself and enrich us abundantly with the Holy Spirit.” Amen.

On Psalm 121:6 -- "May we be everywhere protected, we beg, by your goodwill so that we may not burn with overheated, evil desires nor may either our charity to our neighbors or our devotion to you be extinguished by the coldness of infidelity in our hearts."

I've been delighted that the way the pagination works out in this book, Vermigli's prayers tend to fall on the page number corresponding to the psalms they're based on, all the way up to 119. But alas, I think this is where that coincidence will have to stop.

Not sure why Goodreads thinks this book is 40 pages longer than it actually is. The inaccuracy of the percentage bar has been driving me nuts. lol
