Status Updates From The Great Dane

I must admit that, for a book by one of my most favorite authors, it took me a while to get into it, but I think I’m finally starting to see the whole picture of what happened.

“What’s your thesis?” Liko asked, as if he were well-versed in the philosophy of math when he’d barely scraped by in high school trig.
“Algebraic coding theory and symmetric block designs. More specifically, combinatorics and applications of representation theory to coding theory.”
“I have on matching socks,” Liko said, and glanced under the table to be sure.

Istg this book is killing me softly…
“I feel so fucking lost.”
“We’ll find you, Dane. I promise.”

Death comes into your house and takes a giant cosmic dump in your soul. No crack team of postmortem cleaners can remove a turd of this magnitude. You have to endure it stinking up your house until it petrifies. Then maybe you can box it up in some attractive container and take it along for the rest of the miserable ride. But it’ll always be with you.
