Status Updates From A Dark Forgetting

I don’t like YA usually as I think I’m too old lmao but for a YA this is okay, however have some big bug bears with the author explaining everything and MC being a bit of a Mary Sue.
YA readers aren’t idiots, it really bothers me in general when the author doesn’t trust their readers to actually comprehend a scene
