Status Updates From Walking Away (The Vanishing...

I am going to finish this before the hockey game🤞. Books I have been waiting for finally arrived at the library and are now patiently waiting for me to start them. Sitting there, looking at me. Quietly saying, you waited for us for so long, pick me up please!! But I need to finish this one first.

I apologize for all of the Moody Marta Moments while reading this book yesterday. I feel badly to those who read them 🫤.So far this morning I have been able to get over the timing issues etc without freaking out to everyone 😁. I do feel badly though for being so unpleasant. The tears were b/c of physical pain I was in and not exactly the frustration from the book. It just tipped me over to the tears!

Taking a break. I am so frustrated with things. Not with the story itself. I just can’t get past the timing thing. Maybe I am reading it wrong. I don’t know how to explain it. Can someone else read this and see if they can figure out what I mean with the timing?! I feel like I am going to go bonkers and I really don’t want to DNF this. I am honestly nearly to the point of tears in frustration.

“Anything missing?”
“No.”
Then proceeds to list the missing laptop, jewelry, and some papers. For real?? Okay. Calm down self. This kind of thing happens in books. Not everything is going to be perfect. Just overlook it and the timing thing and enjoy the book. Doing a little self pep talk there. Just ignore me and my whining please!

The timing of this book is really messing with me and making it less enjoyable than I think it would otherwise be. Shoot I am getting frustrated, scrolling back to see if I somehow missed several days or an entire week. It’s Friday one day and then things happen that make it seem like more than a day has passed, but now it says Saturday. A day later Saturday or has an entire week gone by?

Definitely not excited to see my name in this book because of the character it belongs to. I am not a maid or housekeeper or a child hiding in the closet though.

Not really jiving with the flow of this one. But I will keep going.

Whoa. That escalated fast. Holy macaroni (wish I had some Mac n cheese right now…perfect day for a cozy comfort food) that just went from 0-100 real quick. Wow.
