If I've been complaining about how some authors I've been listening to treat their female characters, I shouldn't just keep this quiet: I'm not sure how I like the fact that in Blue Moon Rising, Julia was really the only capable one, and she had to be physically described as "handsome."
In the second book, I'm not even sure if I remember a capable lady who was not in love with someone else. In these books...
