Ok it’s taken a while to get to the plot but we’re here now so let’s go.

For the love of all that is holy, please explain why I am supposed to be rooting for the willfully stupid woman and the pedantic asshat to screw. They are both utterly unlikeable, and might only be capable of hate sex with one another. I do not want to read hate sex, and they are persistently obnoxious.

this was recommended to me as a romantasy on tiktok so i thought ooo yeah a nice romantasy before bed………this is borderline horror now it’s almost midnight and i’m terrified to sleep thanks for that booktok x

Good read so far, little frustrating as a scientist that for the last 7 hours I’ve listened to how good of a researcher Nick is, but when finally confronted with a new unknown species in his field he does not immediately photograph it, despite having a smart phone on his person

So I wasn’t expecting this book in the slightest. It’s super creepy. The romance is non existent really (or honestly should be, this book doesn’t need it).
Didn’t know what I was getting into but I love it
