Interesting and a lot better than I expected. Some of the Black Heath reprints are virtually unreadable. However, this is one of the better ones. Philip "Spike" Montgomery is a charming rascal, who's much smarter and observant than he lets one. He's like a playboy version of Ellery Queen without the affectation and pedantry.
