Jesus-f-Christ, why does every sci-fi novel from the 70's introduce female characters by looking them up-and-down and then focusing on the current state of the breasts, arse, hair and lips? Did no-one feel cringey reading this at the time? Really? It sticks out so much from the rest of the, very plot-focused, story. Gross.
