In-medias-res beginning, but we relatively soon get oriented. Some unfortunate vocabulary issues and some hyphens where they shouldn't be (and "may" where it should be "might"), but generally OK editing otherwise. Don't know if I love the ship, given that the guy is genuinely flaky and annoying. Implausible reason for the MC to understand languages.

It’s not epic fantasy but not quite cozy as I’m not getting the vibes as I usually do from that sub-genre. It’s giving general fiction with fantasy elements (carousel and ghosts) right now. A mystery with low suspense within a Science Fiction time travel.
