i like joyce's exploration of this new town and her place at the local paper. her struggles with zena beths affection are really frustrating to read, i wonder how she's going to resolve this

this main character seems pretty weird morally. she's so fascinated with this woman she barely knows because of this years long celebrity worship. the fact that shes willing to cheat on her girlfriend over this is wild to me.
