Status Updates From Hot Girls with Balls: A Novel

I can’t for the life of me get into this book. Maybe it’s the prose - it was not what I was expecting, so this novel feels like it hasn’t started yet and I’m waiting for the intro to the plot and character development. I don’t wanna be told for 60 pages all about these two ladies professional careers and their social media woes. Put me in the scene not report back to me.

I like the change of perspectives it’s fun! I want Walt to get her own supportive girlfriends so bad 😭

I wanna know where this story is heading…

I have no clue which direction this story is heading… will it be thriller freaky or sexy freaky who knows?

Introducing the characters nice…

So they can use quotation marks but maybe author is withholding so you don’t know if it’s just being thought, posted online, or being said aloud?

I’m trying to lock in and enjoy the book but the lack of quotation marks is lowkey taking me out…

This is such a stark tonal shift from everything else I’ve been reading that I’m lowkey struggling but I am trying to see it through. I do wish the dialogue had quotation marks though lol
