Ugh, I need some encouragement to keep going with this one! I LOVE Dickens but this one feels repetitive and dry. I don't know I can be introduced to another 3 generations of a family in order to build up to a single (side) character's storyline! Plus Esther's moralising is getting a little old. Does it get better?

Obsessed so far. I would lay my life on the line for the main characters. Mr. Boythorn kills me, and Mr. Skimpole reminds me of myself in high school lol
On a side note, this is a great book for studying or teaching character introductions. Dickens introduces about 30 characters in the first 150 pages and yet I can instantly recall them from their names
