This showcases one of my biggest pet peeves. People who refuse to understand a concept they have not personally experienced. Those who do not understand the stove is hot and will burn them until they touch it with their own hands.

I get it. Don't believe something just because someone else said it is so. But use your mind and reason out the logic. ASK SOME FREAKING QUESTIONS.

Willful ignorance is NOT an excuse.
