Not sure how I feel about learning more of Althea's past, Wintrow and his bonding with Vivacia is fascinating and the storyline featuring Paragon is really drawing me in. It is also interesting to see how people of the Six Duchies are seen in other lands.

The story has started to develop further. I have started to come around to a couple of characters but my favourite is currently Wintrow. Paragon is also very fascinating.

This is a good start to the series but my God, the Vestrit family are getting on my nerves.

These characters seem a lot greyer than Hobbs usual ones.

Very interesting start, I am hopeful the prologue will be explained later. The world is already expensive and impactful but I am unsure about Althea Vestrit - I don't hate the character but am I supposed to like her?

A little slow, getting better, maybe.
