Powerful start. ‘I could get rid of every abusive person in my life and every toxic person in my life, and if I’m still speaking to myself in an abusive and toxic way I might as well have just kept them around.’

This last chapter has been the most nuanced. And looks at advocacy and how we police our advocacy. It talks about the algorithm pushing but doesn’t mention bots or paid trolls. The outdated Bechdel Test is mentioned. Private and Melissa Gilbert comes up but not together.
When the chapter ends, the book ends abruptly with no conclusion and very little in the way of how to find guilt.

All about how work and no rest hurts women and still no way to fight guilt. But there a lament about how right women are called lazy.

How guilt forms with mothers. A token paragraph about mothers with disabilities (not nearly enough) and too much time on a book that I was actually interested in looking up and reading.

Still nothing on resisting guilt. But a a chapter on the torment of children with too much of a bias on the French’s work on the advancement of child psychology.

Their is a real bias towards France and mistellling history about the history of child psychology.
