4.5 stars Plot holes and inconsistency notwithstanding, this was still a very entertaining piece, filled with tension that kept me guessing how things would go until the very end. Unique and unconventional, and definitely not a romance. Loved it! Added to my favourite erotica shelf.

Really enjoying this. Henry is a confusing character so far. I'm not sure if he is a good guy, bad guy, evil guy, or duped guy, or even something in between all that. I am so very tempted to read reviews to get a synopsis of what happens in the story (the tension and suspense is killing me!). But I am holding out...for now. I know myself well and not sure how long that will last. :D

Picking this back up after a long pause. It's not that I wasn't enjoying it, just had other reads needed to get in first.

I had to put this on pause because I was reading some rather...interesting passages and I was worried about someone reading over my shoulder. :D

This is an alternate reality to the world we live in. I don't 100% understand how this world works, yet. I am enjoying this so far, but not 5 stars worth.

I usually have no problems avoiding reading reviews while in the middle of a book because spoilers, but I'm struggling this time! The allegory in this book makes it prime material for buddy reading... I want to talk about it real bad. 😂

Damn. THIS is how you write a flawed character. Already impressed with this author, which will come as no surprised to my seasoned M/M friends. :)

I firmly believe that when Henry dies (peaceful & happy of natural causes and probably before Jules is 50) Keaton has Tobias killed in the worst way possible like the fucking lowlife cockroach deserves and Jules can live happy & free as a widower & secret agent for the rest of his life
