Finished the long Halloween issues for this volume. Good setup but no payoff as of yet. 4/5.
The fact that there’s a Riddler origin issue and the fact they’ve introduced the issue by mentioning his tendency to leave clues at crime scenes makes me think this has gone and spoiled who “Holiday” is which, if it turns out to be correct, could see it dropping the rating dramatically :(

I think the first issue was misleading. Now I’ve witnessed the gimmick of this comic, I’m enjoying it much more.
With each issue set on a different holiday, the street level story is interesting.
I will say I’m not a fan of the art at all though.

Quite a long issue. Got through a lot more months than I thought it would. Not sure how we’re going to get 12 more issues out of this story though.
I think we’re getting the origin of two-face which I’m more than here for.

Christmas down and another amazing chapter done. Jokers part he played was great and I love the red herring that is being set up. Halfway through now and honestly if it keeps this level consistently I'd say this will be one of the best batman comics I've read. It's always nice when something actually lives up to the expectation people set for it. I'm def starting to see why TLW is so revered.

Art style isn't top drawer but I really like it and I think its quite unique. The plot is fantastic. Very dark and eerie right now and I love how were seeing one chapter per each holiday - Halloween chapter 1 - thanksgiving chapter 2 , now it's Christmas for chapter 3 and the Joker is on the cover. (Queue rubbing hands together excitedly.)

Oh my God. What a start. Of course I have known about TLW for years and have heard many a time about how goated it is meant to be (also want to clarify i watched the animated version of part 1 with my dad a few years ago but have forgotten nearly everything). It's fair to say so far i can see exactly why it's so revered. This could easily be a 5 boys. Oze get the kindle price up, this might be a buy.
