I don't know what I'm reading. Jason Pargin truly knows how to write a complete spectacle

Genuinely not sure I can post any quotes from this book anymore without offending every last person who follows me

"In late November, I'd woken up to a small, dark-haired child leaning out of our bedroom closet, whispering a sequence of numbers, begging me to remember them, saying it could be crucial to the fate of the world. He'd abruptly vanished after I chucked a shoe at him." 💀

While I'm still enjoying this, it seems a bit more bogged down by useless fluff than normal. I do enjoy the side tangents but they seem over written in this one so far

Finally finally finally starting this!! I'm sure most of my GRs friends have never heard of this series or this author but it is very near and dear to me, and was involved in how I started dating my husband. I am so lucky to have been gifted a physical copy directly from the author and I'm excited I finally have time for it 🥳

Spoiler alert: I think there may be giant crabs in this novel.
